Cheyenne, Wyo., is considered "The Heart of UP" because of its location just east of Sherman Hill, the highest point on the Transcontinental Railroad. Union Pacific is proud to celebrate its 150th Anniversary at Cheyenne Frontier Days, an annual festival in celebration of Wyoming's fabled "wild west" history and pioneer heritage.
Founded in 1897, the festival is now a popular summer attraction, drawing thousands to the largest outdoor rodeo in the world. Music and cowboy fans, dressed western style, revel in the activities, which include downtown parades, free pancake breakfasts and “Frontier Night” evening concerts.
Cheyenne will receive a Train Town U.S.A. designation on Saturday, July 21, during the CFD Rodeo.
