Union Pacific employees are allowed to shoot footage on or near UP property only with written permission from their supervisor, as well as from the appropriate Operating Department contact at the respective location. Operating permission must come from the director level. Only employees are allowed to participate in videos filmed on company property. All safety rules and precautions must be observed. No video may be shot from moving equipment, including a locomotive. Any video that shows a safety rule violation will be disqualified and employees held responsible. The public is not allowed to videotape anywhere on railroad property.
Yes. But remember, the Rules state that you must have permission from all participants in your video. If you have children appear who are not your own, you must have parental/guardian permission.

You may enter the Contest between 12:00:00 p.m. (noon) Central Time (“CT”) on November 1, 2011, and 11:59:59 p.m. CT on July 1, 2012 (“Contest Period”). Entries received outside of the submission period will not be eligible for the contest. You are encouraged not to wait until the last minute, due to large file size and heavy traffic on the site. Union Pacific and the Contest are not responsible for upload/technical issues.
A final judging will be held July 24, 2012, during a live, streamed broadcast held at Union Pacific Center, 1400 Douglas St., Omaha, NE. A link to the broadcast stream will be made available at up150.com

Entries do not appear in the gallery right away. Videos will go through an initial screening and review process. If there are violations of the rules, your video will be disqualified. Please note that making it into the gallery is NOT a guarantee that your spot complies fully with the Official Rules - it just means that no obvious violations were identified during initial screening. It is also possible that a submission that makes it into the gallery could be removed in the event a rules violation is reported or discovered later.
You must use the same words and tune as the original commercial. Stylistically, you have free reign – jazz, rock, whatever. You may not include any copyrighted music from an external source. This prohibition includes any royalty-free music and/or music that you may have licensed to use in this contest.
