Jarrod & Jaime

When we found out that Union Pacific was having a contest to put a new spin on their jingle we immediately thought it would be fun to re-make the song using items around our apartment...like water glasses, suitcases, a paper umbrella, a squeaky wardrobe door, etc. Plus, of course, a xylophone and a ukulele. Because, let's face it, nothing evokes the rugged spirit of a beloved American railroad company celebrating their sesquicentennial quite like ukulele, water glasses, and a paper umbrella.

• For a variety of reasons the semi-finalists were chosen. I've viewed all of them multiple times. By far, in my opinion, this is the niftiest concept and tightest edit job of them all. The music arrangement and performances are delightfully happy and, of all the original rewrites, this song would be the most enjoyable to the widest demographic audience. UP would do themselves a great service to choose this track. Thanks Jarrod & Jaime for a simply superb production!
