I am a proud volunteer at the Nampa Railroad Depot that was built by UP in 1903! It is now a museum and is the place where our historical society is based. We are currently restoring it and putting it back to its former glory! We also have claim to one of the first steel-frame cabooses made by Union Pacific and a derrick crane also used on the O.S.L during the 1920s, on display out side our depot. Also, every summer we do a depot fest were the train depot is open to everyone and we all dress up. It is a great event. I am proud to have this building in our community and proud to give tours there.
