Company K 134th Infantry Division, the U.P. Company
The Nebraska National Guard, Company K, 134th Infantry Batallion was made up exclusively of employees of the UP Railroad. The attached official photo was taken at Camp Ashland sometime before July 1929. My father, Francis W. (Frank) Poast is the second from left in the front row. This unit participated in the invasion of Europe in WW II and the Battle of the Bulge.
